Salgados Go Forth
After one tiny, quazi-serious question on Facebook about our housing and future, we decided to get rid of half of all we owned and buy a small house with 1,000 less sq. feet so we could cut our living expenses in half. This move, along with a second part time gig allowed us to save for our dream to travel abroad with our four kids.
We thought it was all going to be about the travel but we ended up learning lots about living just a little simpler. It was exhausting and freeing all at the same time. It all sounds so noble and lovely, but I assure you, the process was and still is crazy and loaded and annoying and our own brand of happy chaos...so here we are, on our way to Europe, our first trip in what we hope to be many abroad.
I feel small and excited....and nervous, like a little girl. I've always wanted to see the world. Glad it will be with these people by my side.
We are all taking turns posting here if you wanna follow along as the Salgados Go Forth!
*disclaimer- Patience is mortified she can not process her real pics while abroad, so iPhone pics it is.
And while she was writing this, Josiah just accidentally took a swig of Jorge's airplane bottle cocktail of which Lucy had already chastised him about. Let the adventure begin!
